The meals are pure vegetarian and vegan meals, so they are free of eggs, meat, onion and garlic, the latter two of which increase the mood of passion in the body.

In fact, La Dolce Vita was the first restaurant in Brisbane to introduce footpath dining as features so prominently in Italy and other parts of Europe.

The cafe opened over 18 years ago and the restaurant soon followed. Whether you are in the mood for a gourmet lunch, a late night snack or a three-course meal, La Dolce Vita will provide. Open until late, the restaurant serves a wide variety of traditional and modern Italian dishes, all of which are freshly prepared on site. For the pizza aficionado, no cooking method outshines the taste of a wood-fired pizza. Vespa Pizza offers some traditional flavours as well as some well-constructed in-house items on the menu. The preludes section of the menu features some delicious Italian bruschetta, salads and calzone which present some beautifully simple ingredients, wrapped in golden pizza bases and wood-fired to perfection - the chicken, pesto and camembert, and the cheesy chorizo are among some other equally appetising combinations.

For something different to start, try a taste sensation of crispy polenta pieces with rosemary and garlic aioli. Smashed kipfler potatoes with parmesan and garlic aioli is another that stands out, as well as potato wafer pizza with rosemary and sea salt.
